• Preschool: 100% Spanish

• Kindergarten: 100% Spanish

• 1st Grade: 100% Spanish

• 2nd Grade: 30 minutes a day English Instruction

• 3rd Grade: 45 minutes a day English Instruction

• 4th Grade: 1 hour a day English Instruction

• 5th Grade: 1.5 hours a day English Instruction

• 6th Grade – 12th Grade: Maintenance*

~ last point of entry is 1st grade
~ add a new grade level each year: one or two new classrooms

 

*Maintenance involves students receiving minimally two content areas in the target language in order to "maintain" the fluency gained in elementary school.
