who: Any child exiting k-2 who is enrolled in a Spanish dual language or immersion program.
why: Guided intentional Spanish reading, vocabulary, and key language instruction is key to students meeting grade level expectations – and it’s been interrupted this year!
what: 35-minute online synchronous read aloud sessions with native speaking addalingua-trained teachers who explore how good readers think AND what they notice about the way words act in Spanish.
School closures have affected everyone in this country one way or another. There are many parents out there who are worried that their children won’t meet grade-level expectations. Parents of immersion students feel especially overwhelmed, because meeting grade-level expectations in a second language adds a new layer of complexity.
- Ready to relinquish your role of homeschool teacher?
- Worried that the summer slide started in March this year?
- Wondering if your children interacted enough in Spanish during school closures?
You need a break. Kids need to keep learning in Spanish AND have a bit of fun along the way. We’ve got you covered AND we get it!!
Besides being mothers of students “doing school” in Spanish, the team at addalingua has decades of experience in dual language and immersion education. So, we know that to make up for lost time this school year, students need to engage with books and stellar teachers to build reading and language skills this summer.
