TED-ED recently published a short, but powerful new video explaining the significant brain benefits that accompany bilingualism. Research shows that in addition to the financial and cultural benefits that accompany bilingualism, learning another language actually makes your brain more healthy, complex and actively engaged. So much so that multilingualism has been shown to help delay the onset of certain brain diseases like Alzheimer’s and dementia.
